Beas Kund

Beas Kund which is considered a sacred lake. It is the source of the Beas River. It is believed that sage Vyas used to take his daily bath in the pristine waters of this lake situated at an altitude of 3,650 meters in the lap of Hanuman Tibba and seven sisters. The journey through Solang Valley to Beas Kund is heart-soothing. The Beas Kund Trek, considered one of the easiest treks in the Himachal Himalayan region, is a short three-day trek from the popular Tourist Places in Manali which is situated at an altitude of 2,050 meters. The Beas Kund Track starts from Manali and leads to Dhundi at a distance of 3,150 meters via Solang Nallah. The Pandavas are said to have spent time here during their period of exile and cultivated wealth in Pandu Ropa. In June and July, the plains here are a colorful carpet of Himalayan vegetation. If you manage to climb up the ridge properly, you will see the entire Kullu and Manali valley. This trek is of seven hours and one can visit this hamta from May to mid-November.

Lama Dug
